What Is CISCO-IVR-MIB?

CISCO-IVR-MIB is a Cisco Systems Inc. proprietary MIB managing Inter-VSAN Routing (IVR), which allows controlled traffic between VSANs (logically separated Storage Area Networks whose traffic normally does not cross VSAN boundaries) within a single physical Fibre Channel fabric — called an Autonomous Fabric. Its objects cover FCID NAT mode, VSAN-topology auto-discovery, a zone-set table (index, name, zone list, last-change time, checksum, row status, activate/deactivate actions and result), a zoneset-database checksum, an active-zoneset checksum, and a zone table (index, name, member list, last-change time, row status, read-only flag). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which zones and zone sets permit inter-VSAN traffic on a Cisco MDS SAN switch. It is deployed on Cisco Systems MDS Fibre Channel SAN switches (Inter-VSAN Routing). Engineers can download the CISCO-IVR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
