Description: Private MIB for Alvarion (now Cambium) BreezeACCESS wireless broadband access equipment, covering radio and WLAN management objects.
IPNetwork Monitor uses several OIDs from this MIB in network discovery and polling the applicable devices. Start monitoring ALVARION-DOT11-WLAN-MIB with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor.
What Is ALVARION-DOT11-WLAN-MIB?
ALVARION-DOT11-WLAN-MIB is a private, proprietary MIB for Alvarion's BreezeACCESS VL, BreezeACCESS 4900, and BreezeNET-B wireless broadband access product line (now part of Cambium Networks), covering radio and WLAN link configuration. It exposes configuration data for radio transmit power limits, MAC-based access control deny lists, broadcast/multicast handling, and QoS traffic prioritization such as VLAN priority, ToS/IP-precedence/DSCP thresholds, and UDP/TCP port-based prioritization for RTP/RTCP voice traffic. Monitoring emphasis is mostly on configuration and radio-hardware operating parameters rather than classic environmental sensors: transmit-power tables let an admin verify a radio's actual power output stays within its configured maximum, and the MAC deny-list table reflects the current access-control/security posture of the link. It relates conceptually to IEEE 802.11 wireless standards and shares the "brzacc" (BreezeACCESS) object prefix with other Alvarion product MIBs. It is deployed on Alvarion BreezeACCESS VL, BreezeACCESS 4900, and BreezeNET-B base stations and subscriber units providing fixed wireless broadband access links. Engineers can download the ALVARION-DOT11-WLAN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ALVARION-DOT11-WLAN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Alvarion BreezeACCESS/BreezeNET wireless broadband base station/subscriber unit
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll brzaccVLNewTransmitPowerTable against brzaccVLNewMaximumTransmitPowerTable to confirm a radio link's actual transmit power hasn't drifted above its configured ceiling. Checking brzaccVLNewMacAddressDenyListTable and brzaccVLMacAddressDenyListAction audits which client MAC addresses are currently being blocked from associating. Reviewing brzaccVLIPDSCPThreshold and brzaccVLUdpPortPriRTPRTCP settings helps confirm voice traffic prioritization is configured correctly on a link experiencing call-quality complaints.
What Can Be Monitored
- radio transmit power vs. maximum allowed
- MAC address deny list entries
- broadcast/multicast-to-unicast conversion setting
- VLAN/ToS/DSCP QoS prioritization thresholds
- UDP/TCP port-based traffic prioritization
