Description:

When vRtrIfIcmpTtlExpired is set to 'true', the rate that ttl-expired messages by this interface is throttled based on the values of vRtrIfIcmpNumTtlExpired and vRtrIfIcmpTtlExpiredTime. When vRtrIfIcmpTtlExpired is set to 'false', unlimited ttl-expired messages are sent.

What is vRtrIfIcmpTtlExpired?

This OID is a yes/no flag that controls rate-limiting of TTL-expired error messages sent from a router interface. When enabled, the router slows down error reports during routing loops; when disabled, errors flow freely. An operator enables this to reduce network noise during troubleshooting, or disables it to see every routing failure.
