Description:
The value of the object vRtrIfArpPopulate specifies the ARP populate action. The value disabled means that the normal ARP protocol is active. The value enabled means that the system will not originate ARP requests on this interface. The ARP cache is only populated with MAC addresses learned via the DHCP protocol. If the value of vRtrIfType is network, this object can only be set to disabled.
What is vRtrIfArpPopulate?
This object controls how the system populates its ARP cache on a virtual router interface when enabled. When disabled, normal ARP protocol operates; when enabled, the system skips originating ARP requests and populates the cache only from DHCP-learned MAC addresses. This feature is useful in deployments where you want to minimize ARP traffic or use DHCP as the sole source of address resolution.
