vRtrIPv6MidRouteThreshold

Module: ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB

OID (symbolic): ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::vRtrIPv6MidRouteThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.3.1.1.47

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-create

Description:

The value of vRtrIPv6MidRouteThreshold specifies the mid-level water marker for the number of IPv6 routes which this VRF may hold. When this limit is exceeded a tmnxVRtrIPv6MidRouteTCA notification is generated.

A value of 0 (zero) for this object indicates that the threshold is infinite, and the notification will never be sent.

What is vRtrIPv6MidRouteThreshold?

This boolean setting enables a warning trigger when IPv6 routes in a VRF exceed a mid-level threshold. It helps prevent the router from becoming overloaded. An operator would enable this to receive alerts when IPv6 routing table usage gets dangerously high (e.g., at 50% capacity before hitting the hard limit).
