Description:

The remaining length of time, in seconds, that this prefix will continue to be valid, i.e. time until invalidation. A value of 4,294,967,295 represents infinity.

The address generated from an invalidated prefix should not appear as the destination or source address of a packet.

What is vRtrAdvPrefixValidLifetime?

This OID specifies how many seconds an IPv6 address prefix remains valid before the system stops using it to generate new addresses. After expiration, existing addresses still work but no new ones use that prefix. A network administrator adjusts this during IPv6 deployments to control the migration period when changing address prefixes.
