tmnxVRtrMidRouteTCA
Module: ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB
OID (symbolic): ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::tmnxVRtrMidRouteTCA
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.3.0.1
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: The tmnxVRtrMidRouteTCA notification is generated when the number of routes contained in a VPRN exceeds the value specified by vRtrMidRouteThreshold. No other notifications of this type are generated until after the soak period specified by vRtrRouteThresholdSoakTime has expired.
What is tmnxVRtrMidRouteTCA?
This notification is triggered when the number of routes in a Virtual Private Routed Network (VPRN) exceeds a configured mid-level threshold, alerting operators to potential routing table exhaustion. After the threshold is crossed, no further notifications are sent until a soak period expires, preventing notification storms. An operator uses this alarm to proactively monitor VPRN route consumption and prevent route table overflow.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ALCATEL-IND1-TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::tmnxVRtrMidRouteTCA snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.3.0.1
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
