What Is ACC-DS3?

ACC-DS3 is a vendor MIB from ACC (later part of Ericsson) that manages DS3 (T3, 44.736 Mbps) interface configuration on ACC routers, covering framing format, payload type (e.g., clear-channel vs. channelized), and C-bit parity settings used on the physical DS3 line. It exposes DS3-specific configuration objects layered on top of the standard interface model, controlling how the physical line is framed and how parity/error-detection bits are interpreted. Its monitoring relevance is chiefly around line configuration correctness and, where paired with standard MIB-II/DS3 statistics, error/alarm conditions on the physical link that indicate a degraded or misconfigured T3 circuit. It is expected to work alongside the standard DS3/E3 MIB (RFC 2496 or its predecessors) and the IF-MIB for interface-level status, since it augments rather than replaces those standard objects. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson routers terminating leased DS3 circuits in WAN environments. Engineers can download the ACC-DS3 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
