Category: Ciena LEOS Carrier Ethernet
Description: Handles Ciena LEOS system-level configuration, covering hostname, management interface, and startup settings.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is WWP-LEOS-SYSTEM-CONFIG-MIB?
WWP-LEOS-SYSTEM-CONFIG-MIB is a Ciena, Inc. (World Wide Packets LEOS platform, built on WWP-SMI) proprietary MIB reporting system boot/gateway configuration. Its objects cover default gateway, boot command/config file, system clock date/time, config-save-permanent-file flag, last-file-name-reset flag, system service mode, backup gateway, customer config file, a default-gateway table (index, address type/address, interface name, metric, status), and a backup-gateway table (same fields). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm default/backup gateway assignment and boot-configuration file on a Ciena (WWP LEOS) platform. It is deployed on Ciena, Inc. (World Wide Packets LEOS) carrier Ethernet platforms. Engineers can download the WWP-LEOS-SYSTEM-CONFIG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WWP-LEOS-SYSTEM-CONFIG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ciena, Inc. (World Wide Packets LEOS) carrier Ethernet platforms
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks wwpLeosSystemConfigDefaultGatewayTable and wwpLeosSystemConfigBackupGatewayTable to confirm gateway failover configuration on a Ciena (WWP LEOS) platform.
What Can Be Monitored
- default/backup gateway assignment and boot-configuration file

| FIL wwpLeosSystemConfigBootCfgFile | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.12.1.1.3 | FileName | read-write | This mib object specifies the bootup config file for the system. Setting is object is similar to setting default load config file name. When device will reboot it will attempt to load the file specified by wwpLeosSystemConfigBootCfgFile. |
| DAT wwpLeosSystemClockDateTime | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.12.1.1.4 | DateAndTime | read-write | The current system date and time of box. There are no provisions for local time or daylight savings. All times use the 24 hr clock and are UTC. Because device time is UTC, only first 7 bytes of DateAndTime data are returned, as per RFC1903. |
| FIL wwpLeosSystemConfigSavePermFile | 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.12.1.1.5 | FileName | read-write | Setting this object will set the save file name to the value of wwpLeosSystemConfigSavePermFile.
