Description: The value of tlsPipStpPortState indicates the PIP uplink's current state as defined by application of the Spanning Tree Protocol. This state controls what action PIP uplink takes on reception of a frame. If the bridge has detected a port that is malfunctioning it will place that port into the 'broken (6)' state.
What is tlsPipStpPortState?
This object reports the current state of a Pseudo-IP (PIP) uplink port as determined by the Spanning Tree Protocol, including states like disabled, blocking, listening, learning, forwarding, or broken. The state controls how the port handles incoming frames and whether it actively forwards traffic. Network operators monitor this object to verify that bridge port states are correct and to diagnose spanning tree topology issues.
