Module: TIMETRA-SERV-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SERV-MIB::svcTlsMrpMaxAttributes

Description: The value of the object svcTlsMrpMaxAttributes indicates maximum number of MMRP attributes supported in this TLS.

In most cases the default value is 2048 MRP attributes. For some platform and chassis types, especially single slot chassises, the default value will be lower due to resource constraints.

The default value is set to 8192 when svcTlsExtMmrpEndStationOnly is set to 'true'.

An inconsistentValue error is returned if an attempt is made to set this object to a value the platform cannot support.

What is svcTlsMrpMaxAttributes?

This object defines the maximum number of MMRP (Multiple MAC Registration Protocol) attributes that can be stored within a Transparent LAN Service on Nokia/Alcatel equipment. MMRP is used in Ethernet services to dynamically manage MAC addresses and multicast groups; this limit prevents excessive memory consumption. Operators adjust this value based on platform capabilities and the expected number of MAC addresses and multicast groups in their network service.
