Description: TIMETRA-BGP-MIB module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TIMETRA-BGP-MIB?

TIMETRA-BGP-MIB is an Alcatel-Lucent (Timetra/7x50 SR platform, built on BGP4-MIB) proprietary MIB implementing Alcatel-Lucent's BGP extensions. Its instance table, keyed by index, records row status, shutdown flag, description, always-compare-MED flag, AS-path-ignore flag, BGP ID, connect-retry/hold/keepalive timers, min-AS-origination interval, route dampening, local AS/preference, loop-detect mode, min-route-advertisement interval, multipath flag, no-aggregator-ID flag, preference, remove-private-AS flag, last-changed time, and multihop flag. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm BGP instance timer tuning and route-selection policy on an Alcatel-Lucent 7x50 SR router. It is deployed on Alcatel-Lucent 7x50 Service Router (Timetra) platforms (BGP). Engineers can download the TIMETRA-BGP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TIMETRA-BGP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Alcatel-Lucent 7x50 Service Router (Timetra) platforms (BGP)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks tBgpInstanceHoldTime and tBgpInstanceLocalPreference to confirm BGP timer and route-preference tuning on an Alcatel-Lucent 7x50 SR router.
