Category: Data Center Infrastructure Monitoring

Description: Monitors ServersCheck infrastructure and environmental sensors including temperature, humidity, and power.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ServersCheck?

ServersCheck is an enterprise MIB from ServersCheck, a vendor that makes environmental and infrastructure monitoring sensor appliances for data centers and server rooms. It exposes environmental telemetry data such as temperature, humidity, and power status collected by the sensor unit. This MIB is used directly for monitoring the hardware status of the sensor device and the physical environment it watches over, surfacing temperature and humidity readings and power state so operators can catch overheating, condensation risk, or power loss before it damages IT equipment. It is a standalone vendor MIB with no apparent dependency on other MIB modules or IETF standards. It is typically deployed on ServersCheck sensor units mounted in server racks or comms rooms and polled by a network monitoring system as part of ServersCheck SNMP monitoring for environmental alerting.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ServersCheck. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ServersCheck environmental sensor appliances
  • server room/data center monitoring probes

Monitoring Examples

No specific object or table names were provided for this module, so exact identifiers cannot be cited here. Based on the module's description, an administrator would typically poll scalar or tabular objects for temperature, humidity, and power state exposed by the sensor. A sudden jump in the temperature reading or a power-status change to 'lost' would indicate a cooling failure or utility power interruption in the monitored space.

What Can Be Monitored

  • temperature reading
  • humidity level
  • power status
  • sensor alarm/threshold state
