Description: Manages NAG SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini environmental relay device sensor readings, relay outputs, and alarm thresholds.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini?
SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini is a vendor MIB (NAG/SNR brand) for the SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini environmental relay device, a compact monitoring unit typically installed in telecom cabinets or server racks to watch ambient conditions and control relay outputs. It exposes readings from multiple analog/digital sensor inputs (serial sensor ports S1 through S10), a dedicated voltage sensor, and at least one temperature sensor, along with relay/alarm threshold configuration. This is fundamentally a hardware-status monitoring MIB: it reports environmental conditions such as temperature and input voltage, and relay-driven alarm states, letting operators detect overheating, power supply irregularities, or open-door/intrusion conditions (commonly wired into the serial sensor ports) before they cause equipment failure. It is a self-contained proprietary MIB with no significant dependency on other vendor MIBs beyond standard SNMPv2-SMI conventions. Typical deployment context is unmanned telecom huts, cabinets, or small server closets where a low-cost dedicated environmental sensor appliance provides remote alarm visibility via SNMP. Engineers can download the SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- NAG/SNR-ERD-PRO-Mini environmental relay/sensor unit for telecom cabinets and racks
Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll temperatureS1 to track cabinet temperature and voltageSensor to confirm DC power rail voltage remains within tolerance, alerting if either crosses a configured threshold. The serialS1 through serialS10 objects represent individual sensor/relay inputs (e.g., door contacts, smoke detectors, or auxiliary probes) that would be polled under the measurements subtree to detect a triggered alarm such as an open cabinet door. A sudden temperatureS1 rise combined with a voltageSensor drop would suggest a cooling fan failure coinciding with a power issue.
What Can Be Monitored
- cabinet temperature
- supply voltage
- serial sensor/relay input states (S1-S10)
- environmental alarm thresholds
