What is snmpInNoSuchNames?

This is a running count of queries asking for MIB objects that do not exist on this device. It shows mismatches between what the monitoring tool expects and what the device actually supports. A spike suggests a monitoring rule was updated but the device firmware wasn't.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.11.9
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SNMPv2-MIB::snmpInNoSuchNames
