What Is SNA-SDLC-MIB?

SNA-SDLC-MIB is an IETF SNA DLC MIB Working Group standard MIB managing SDLC (Synchronous Data Link Control) devices. Its admin table, keyed by port, records name, role, type, topology, initial status, activation timeout, pause, service limit, and slow-poll timer, mirrored by an operational table showing current values plus slow-poll method, last-modify time, and last-fail time/cause. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm SDLC port configuration and diagnose port failures on standards-compliant SNA gateway equipment. It is deployed on standards-compliant SNA/SDLC gateway equipment. Engineers implementing or auditing this functionality typically reference the SNA-SDLC-MIB RFC/standard documentation for the authoritative specification.
