Category: DASAN Networks SLE OLT Management, MPLS Transport Profile
Description: Tracks DASAN Networks SLE OLT MPLS-TP pseudowire performance counters and traffic statistics.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SLE-MPLS-TP-PW-STATISTICS-MIB?
SLE-MPLS-TP-PW-STATISTICS-MIB is a DASAN Networks (Zhone/DASAN SLE OLT platform) enterprise MIB that reports performance statistics for MPLS-TP pseudowires, a technology used to carry Ethernet or TDM traffic transparently over an MPLS transport network. It exposes traffic and performance-counter data for each pseudowire from the point it was created, explicitly noted as visible only on the PE (Provider Edge) role. Its monitoring value is entirely about pseudowire-level performance/fault status -- packet counts, drops, or error statistics per PW -- used to detect degraded or failing MPLS-TP transport paths rather than any general device hardware. As an MPLS-TP pseudowire statistics module it necessarily depends on the underlying MPLS-TP pseudowire configuration/state MIBs (e.g. vendor or IETF PW-MIB/MPLS-TP MIB) that define the PW identifiers this MIB reports against. It is deployed on DASAN SLE OLT/PE-role access or aggregation nodes carrying MPLS-TP pseudowire services in carrier access networks. Engineers can download the SLE-MPLS-TP-PW-STATISTICS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SLE-MPLS-TP-PW-STATISTICS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- DASAN Networks SLE OLT (PE-role) MPLS-TP access/aggregation nodes
Monitoring Examples
No sample objects were provided for this MIB; based on its description, a realistic scenario would involve an operator polling per-pseudowire packet/byte counters and error/drop counts on a PE node to detect a specific PW experiencing rising packet loss, which would point to congestion or a transport-path fault between PE nodes.
What Can Be Monitored
- per-pseudowire packet/byte counters
- pseudowire error/drop counts
- PW creation/statistics start point
