Description: Tracks DASAN Networks SLE OLT MPLS-TP tunnel performance counters and traffic statistics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SLE-MPLS-TP-TUNNEL-STATISTICS-MIB?

SLE-MPLS-TP-TUNNEL-STATISTICS-MIB is a DASAN Networks (DZS) enterprise MIB for SLE-series OLTs that reports performance statistics for MPLS-TP LSPs/tunnels carried over the transport network. Per its module description, it covers MPLS-TP LSP statistics, including packet/byte counters, discards, and similar traffic-volume and performance data for each tunnel. It supports monitoring of software-level traffic performance, such as throughput and loss on a given tunnel, rather than physical hardware sensors, letting an operator spot a tunnel that is dropping packets or running outside its provisioned bandwidth. It depends on the underlying MPLS-TP tunnel/LSP identity objects defined elsewhere in the SLE MPLS-TP MIB suite to identify which tunnel each statistics row belongs to. It is deployed on DASAN/DZS SLE OLT platforms where operators need per-tunnel traffic accounting for SLA verification and capacity planning in MPLS-TP access networks. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the SLE-MPLS-TP-TUNNEL-STATISTICS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SLE-MPLS-TP-TUNNEL-STATISTICS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • DASAN Networks / DZS SLE-series OLT

Monitoring Examples

No specific object/table names were supplied for this module, so a concrete polling example can't be grounded in real identifiers; typically an operator would trend each tunnel's transmitted/received packet and discard counters over time to detect a tunnel silently dropping traffic or approaching its committed bandwidth.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-tunnel packet/byte counters
  • tunnel discard/error counts
  • tunnel throughput trends
  • LSP performance statistics
