Description: Manages Hanasoft SLE OLT DHCP snooping security policy to prevent rogue DHCP server attacks.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SLE-DHCP-SNOOPING-MIB?
SLE-DHCP-SNOOPING-MIB is a Hanasoft (Dasan SLE OLT platform) vendor-specific MIB for managing DHCP Snooping and the associated IP Source Guard security feature on SLE-series access/OLT devices. It exposes a device-level enable flag (sleFeatureEnable) plus per-port IP Source Guard configuration in slePortSrcGuardConfigTable (slePortSrcGuardIndex, slePortSrcGuardEnable) and a table of learned bindings in slePortSrcGuardAddressTable (slePortSrcGuardAddressIp, AddressMask, AddressMac, AddressLease), along with request/status/result control objects and notifications such as slePortSrcGuardAddressCreated/Destroyed. This lets operators confirm DHCP Snooping is active and see exactly which IP-to-MAC bindings were learned per port, the basis for blocking rogue DHCP servers and spoofed source addresses. It relies on the DASAN-SMI enterprise tree and SLE-TC-MIB textual conventions shared across other SLE feature MIBs. It is deployed on Hanasoft SLE OLT/access switches in service-provider access networks, and administrators can download the SLE-DHCP-SNOOPING-MIB file to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SLE-DHCP-SNOOPING-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Hanasoft SLE-series OLT/access switches
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls slePortSrcGuardAddressTable to see which IP/MAC bindings were learned via DHCP Snooping on a given port and checks that slePortSrcGuardEnable is set to enable(1); an IP Source Guard port stuck at disable(0) or missing expected bindings would indicate the port is unprotected against rogue DHCP or spoofed-address attacks.
What Can Be Monitored
- DHCP Snooping feature enable state
- per-port IP Source Guard enable status
- learned IP/MAC/lease bindings table
- binding creation/destruction notifications
- control command status/result objects
