Category: Physical Layer and Interfaces

Description: Supports BATM Advanced Communication integration with JDSU optical test and measurement equipment for diagnosing fiber issues.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is PRVT-JDSU-MIB?

PRVT-JDSU-MIB is a BATM Advanced Communication proprietary MIB controlling and monitoring JDSU-related loopback functionality (likely integrated JDSU test-head/SFP diagnostics) on BATM switches. Its loopback table, keyed by index, records admin status, remote MAC address, remote inner/outer VLAN, operational status, and row status, alongside admin/oper-state-change notifications. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator remotely enable a JDSU loopback test and confirm whether it is operationally active for a given remote MAC/VLAN combination. It is deployed on BATM Advanced Communication switches with integrated JDSU test functionality. Engineers can download the PRVT-JDSU-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PRVT-JDSU-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • BATM Advanced Communication switches (integrated JDSU test)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator sets prvtJdsuLoopbackAdminStatus to remotely trigger a loopback test toward a specific remote MAC/VLAN and confirms prvtJdsuLoopbackOperationalStatus reflects an active loop on a BATM switch.

What Can Be Monitored

  • JDSU loopback admin/operational status
