What Is PG-BRIDGE-MIB?
This is a proprietary PairGain MIB for xDSL access device bridge functionality, managing MAC-layer forwarding, per-session bridge port state, and VLAN parameters tied to ATM VPI/VCI sessions. It exposes a session-port table mapping ATM VPI/VCI/slot/port identifiers to bridge-port and router-group-interface associations, plus VLAN identifiers, alongside references to the standard dot1d bridge base objects. It is largely a configuration/topology MIB useful for monitoring the software-level mapping between DSL ATM sessions and Ethernet bridge ports, confirming a subscriber's session is correctly bridged and VLAN-tagged, which reveals provisioning or connectivity faults when that mapping is missing or wrong. It explicitly builds on the standard BRIDGE-MIB (RFC 1493/4188) dot1dBase objects for the underlying bridge model. It is typically deployed on PairGain xDSL access multiplexers/bridges used by telcos for residential/business broadband access. Engineers can download the PG-BRIDGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
Querying pgSessionPortTable using pgSessionPortVpi and pgSessionPortVci to locate a subscriber's ATM session, then checking pgSessionPortBridgePort and pgSessionPortVlanIdentifier confirms that session is bound to the correct bridge port and VLAN. If pgSessionPortIfIndex or pgSessionPortRouterGroupInterface does not resolve to the expected interface, that indicates a misconfigured or failed DSL bridging session for that subscriber.
