What Is INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS-MIB-4?

INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS-MIB-4 is Intel's vendor-specific MIB (version 4) for managing Intel Ethernet network interface cards installed in a host system, exposing adapter inventory and identification data. It provides objects describing the host operating system, management-agent extension version, and a generic adapter attributes table listing each installed NIC by index, name, and type. As a hardware-status MIB, its main value is confirming which Intel NICs are physically present in a server and their identifying attributes, useful for asset inventory and driver/agent-version verification rather than deep traffic statistics. It depends on the host's SNMP agent extension mechanism (agentExtensionVersion) layered on top of the operating system's networking stack, and sits under Intel's private enterprise/NIC-products OID branch.
