Category: Domain: WAN, Vendor: IBM

Description: IBM MIB for dial-out management on IBM IROC devices providing modem and WAN dial connection status.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is IBMIROCDIALOUT-MIB?

IBMIROCDIALOUT-MIB is an IBM (enterprise OID 2) proprietary MIB configuring async dial-out connections. Its interface table, keyed by interface, records username, time remaining, inactivity timer, DTR state, protocol, and global objects covering comport-enable, send-binary flag, suppress-go-ahead flag, disable-echo flag, and port name. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm dial-out session parameters and DTR/protocol state on an IBM async dial-out device. It is deployed on IBM async dial-out equipment. Engineers can download the IBMIROCDIALOUT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in IBMIROCDIALOUT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • IBM async dial-out equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks dialOutIfTimeRemaining and dialOutIfDTRState to confirm dial-out session status on an IBM async dial-out device.

What Can Be Monitored
