Description: Huawei OSPFv3 MIB for managing IPv6 OSPFv3 instances, areas, interfaces, and neighbor adjacencies.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HUAWEI-OSPFV3-MIB?
HUAWEI-OSPFV3-MIB is Huawei's implementation of the IETF OSPFv3 (OSPF for IPv6) draft standard MIB. Its objects cover router ID, admin status, version number, area/AS border-router status, AS-scope LSA count/checksum sum, originated/received new-LSA counts, external-LSA count and LSDB limit, graceful-restart support/interval/status/age/exit-reason, notification enable, reference bandwidth, and a per-area table (area ID, import-AS-external policy, SPF-run count, area/AS border-router counts). As a configuration/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm OSPFv3 is enabled with the correct router ID and area configuration, and watch SPF-run frequency as a sign of topology instability. It is deployed on Huawei routers running OSPFv3. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-OSPFV3-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-OSPFV3-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Huawei routers (OSPFv3/IPv6 routing)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks hwOspfv3AreaSpfRuns for an area experiencing frequent recalculation, a sign of a flapping link or unstable neighbor destabilizing the OSPFv3 topology.
What Can Be Monitored
- OSPFv3 area configuration and SPF recalculation frequency

| IP hwOspfv3PacketSrc | 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.147.1.12.3 | InetAddress | accessible-for-notify | The IPv6 address of an inbound packet that cannot be identified by a neighbor instance. When the last value of a notification using this object is needed, but no notifications of that type have been sent, the value pertaining to this object should be returned as 0. Only IPv6 addresses without zone index are expected. |

| HWO hwOspfv3AreaIdIndex | 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.147.1.12.8 | HWOspfv3AreaIdTc | read-only | A 32-bit integer uniquely identifying an area. Area ID 0 is used for the OSPFv3 backbone. |
| HWO hwOspfv3NewRouterId | 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.147.1.12.9 | HWOspfv3RouterIdTc | read-only | A 32-bit integer uniquely identifying the router in the Autonomous System. To ensure uniqueness, this may default to the value of one of the router's IPv4 host addresses, represented as a 32-bit unsigned integer, if IPv4 is configured on the router. |
