hwOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit

Module: HUAWEI-OSPFV3-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-OSPFV3-MIB::hwOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.147.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The maximum number of non-default AS-external-LSAs entries that can be stored in the link state database. If the value is -1, then there is no limit.

When the number of non-default AS-external-LSAs in a router's link-state database reaches ospfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit, the router enters Overflow state. The router never holds more than ospfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit non-default AS-external-LSAs in its database. Ospfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit MUST be set identically in all routers attached to the OSPFv3 backbone and/or any regular OSPFv3 area. (i.e., OSPFv3 stub areas and NSSAs are excluded).

What is hwOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit?

This read-write value caps the number of non-default AS-external-LSAs the router will hold in its database, with -1 meaning no limit. Once that count is reached the router enters an overflow state, so this must be configured identically across all routers in the backbone and any regular area.
