What Is HPN-ICF-LswINF-MIB?
HPN-ICF-LswINF-MIB is an HP/H3C Comware private MIB (part of the ICF Layer 2 switch family) that extends standard interface management with switch-specific Layer 2 port attributes. Its hpnicfifXXTable carries per-port flags (aggregate/mirror/isolated port, VLAN type, flow control) plus broadcast/multicast/unicast storm-suppression controls in both percentage and packets-per-second modes, and payload/error packet counters (hpnicfifInPayloadOctets, hpnicfifInErrorPktsRate, hpnicfifOutPkts). Companion tables cover link aggregation (hpnicfifAggregateTable), hybrid-port VLAN tagging bitmaps (hpnicfifHybridPortTable), combo fiber/copper port state (hpnicfifComboPortTable), and packet-buffer allocation per interface (hpnicfifPktBufTable, including hpnicfifPktBufMiss for buffer-starvation events). A separate hpnicfethernetTable exposes duplex, speed, MDI mode, MAC-learning limits/mode, and per-port Ethernet flow statistics. Because it layers switch-specific detail on top of standard IF-MIB ifIndex entries, it is deployed alongside IF-MIB on HP/H3C ICF-based switches for HPN-ICF-LswINF-MIB MIB based Layer 2 port diagnostics.

Monitoring Examples
An operator polls hpnicfifInErrorPktsRate and hpnicfifPktBufMiss for a given ifIndex to check whether a switch port is dropping packets due to buffer exhaustion, and checks hpnicfifUniSuppression/hpnicfifMulSuppression against configured thresholds; a climbing hpnicfifPktBufMiss counter alongside high hpnicfifInErrorPktsRate would point to an oversubscribed or misconfigured port suppressing legitimate traffic.
