Description: HP ServerNet (Foundry-heritage) SNMP MIB for AppleTalk protocol routing configuration and statistics on HP SN network devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HP-SN-APPLETALK-MIB?

HP-SN-APPLETALK-MIB is a legacy HP (built on APPLETALK-MIB/HP-SN-IP-MIB/HP-SN-ROOT-MIB) proprietary MIB configuring AppleTalk routing on HP switching/routing equipment. Its objects cover an AppleTalk-routing enable flag, clear-ARP-cache/clear-forwarding-cache/clear-route/clear-traffic-counters actions, ARP retransmit count/interval, glean-packets-enable flag, RTMP update interval, ZIP query interval, and in/out/filtered RTMP packet counts alongside in/out ZIP, ZIP-GetZoneList, ZIP-NetInfo, and DDP (in/out/forwarded/delivered/dropped-no-route/dropped-bad-hop-count) packet counts. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm AppleTalk routing state and watch RTMP/ZIP/DDP traffic on legacy HP AppleTalk-routing equipment. It is deployed on legacy HP switching/routing equipment (AppleTalk). Engineers can download the HP-SN-APPLETALK-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HP-SN-APPLETALK-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy HP switching/routing equipment (AppleTalk)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks snRtATDroppedNoRouteDdpPkts to diagnose AppleTalk routing failures on legacy HP AppleTalk-routing equipment.
