Category: Technology: Wireless, Vendor: HP/HPE, Wireless and WLAN
Description: HP ProCurve 420 wireless access point private MIB providing vendor-specific management objects for the 802.11g AP device.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HP-PROCURVE-420-PRIVATE-MIB?
HP-PROCURVE-420-PRIVATE-MIB is a legacy HP (enterprise OID 11, ProCurve 420 wireless access point) proprietary MIB reporting hardware/firmware version and serial-line/port configuration. Its objects cover main-board hardware version, boot-ROM/opcode version, country code, a line table (index, data bits, parity, speed, stop bits), a port table (index, name, type, speed/duplex config and status, flow-control config and status, capabilities, autonegotiation), and file-transfer objects (start, type, file type). As a status/configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm firmware version and serial-console configuration on an HP ProCurve 420 access point. It is deployed on the legacy HP ProCurve 420 wireless access point. Engineers can download the HP-PROCURVE-420-PRIVATE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HP-PROCURVE-420-PRIVATE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy HP ProCurve 420 wireless access point
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks swOpCodeVer and portSpeedDpxStatus to confirm firmware version and port speed/duplex status on an HP ProCurve 420 access point.
What Can Be Monitored
- firmware version and serial/port configuration
