Category: Domain: WAN, Frame Relay, Quality of Service, Vendor: H3C/HH3C

Description: Manages QoS policies applied to Frame Relay permanent virtual circuits on H3C WAN interface modules.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HH3C-FR-QOS-MIB?

HH3C-FR-QOS-MIB is a private H3C (Hewlett-Packard/Huawei joint venture, now HPE Networking/H3C) enterprise MIB for managing and monitoring Class-Based Frame Relay QoS features applied to permanent virtual circuits (PVCs) on H3C WAN interface modules. Per its module description it centers on configuration of FR class maps (hh3cFrClassCfgInfoTable), committed information rate (CIR) settings (hh3cCirCfgInfoTable), and the application of FR QoS classes to specific interfaces (hh3cIfApplyFrClas...). Its monitoring value is chiefly about traffic-shaping/QoS configuration and performance state on Frame Relay circuits rather than general hardware health: it lets an operator verify which QoS class and CIR are applied to a given PVC and audit whether traffic classes are configured as intended. It builds on standard Frame Relay DLCI/PVC concepts and complements the vendor's broader QoS MIB family. It is deployed on H3C routers and WAN switches carrying legacy Frame Relay circuits requiring class-based traffic shaping. Engineers can download the HH3C-FR-QOS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-FR-QOS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C routers and WAN switches with Frame Relay interfaces

Monitoring Examples

No specific sample objects were supplied beyond table name fragments in the module description, but based on those, an admin would query hh3cFrClassCfgInfoTable to see configured FR QoS class definitions and hh3cCirCfgInfoTable to check the committed information rate assigned to each class. hh3cIfApplyFrClas(sTable) would show which class is applied to which Frame Relay interface/DLCI, letting an operator confirm a PVC experiencing congestion actually has the intended QoS class and CIR applied rather than a default/no-QoS profile.

What Can Be Monitored

  • configured FR QoS class definitions
  • committed information rate (CIR) per class
  • QoS class applied per Frame Relay interface/PVC
