Category: Domain: Storage, Vendor: H3C/HH3C
Description: H3C MIB for storage system management on H3C servers and storage arrays covering disk, volume, and controller status.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is H3C-STORAGE-MIB?
H3C-STORAGE-MIB is an H3C Technologies proprietary MIB (extending ENTITY-MIB/H3C-DISK-MIB/H3C-RAID-MIB) reporting general storage-device capability and control on H3C storage platforms. Its objects cover capability flags for RAID/FC/NAS/adaptive-replication/remote-replication/safe-cache/sync-mirror/async-mirror/time-mark/SSE, iSCSI/FC-target enable, server location-LED/reset-button/power-button/power-state, a DEU (Disk Enclosure Unit) table (ID-LED, disk-scan action), and a storage-interface table (gateway). As a hardware-status/control MIB it lets an administrator confirm which advanced storage features (replication, mirroring) are supported and remotely trigger a disk-enclosure LED or disk scan. It is deployed on H3C storage platforms. Engineers can download the H3C-STORAGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-STORAGE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C storage platforms
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks h3cRemoteRepCapability to confirm remote-replication support before configuring disaster-recovery replication on an H3C storage platform.
What Can Be Monitored
- storage feature capability flags
- disk enclosure LED/scan control
