What Is GWMTA-MIB?

GWMTA-MIB is a legacy proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 23) reporting MTA (Message Transfer Agent) mail-routing statistics. Its MTA table, keyed by index, records domain name, total/closed domains, total/closed post offices, total/closed gateways, routed/undeliverable/error message counts (both cumulative and 10-minute interval), resiliency state, uptime, log level, file-logging flag, max log-file age/space, current log file, a restart action, and a GUID. As a performance/status MIB it lets an administrator watch mail-routing throughput and undeliverable/error message rates on a legacy MTA gateway. It is deployed on legacy MTA (mail-gateway) equipment. Engineers can download the GWMTA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in GWMTA-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
