Description: Eltek distributed power management MIB for monitoring distributed rectifier systems and their individual components.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ELTEK-DISTRIBUTED-MIB?

This is an Eltek private enterprise MIB for the company's distributed DC power/rectifier systems (SmartPack/WebPower controller family, spanning multiple hardware branches like AL175, AL6000, and Aeongold), used in telecom power plants. It exposes system-level configuration (trap repeat rate, refresh interval, control-unit enumeration) alongside a control-unit table and configurable digital/analog inputs used to monitor individual rectifier or battery-plant components. Its monitoring focus is hardware status of power infrastructure: tracking system time synchronization, the number and identity of distributed control units, per-unit input states, and trap notification behavior, all of which reveal whether a distributed rectifier/battery plant component has failed or gone out of sync. It defines its own branch-versioned OID structure (branches 1 through 9+ for different product generations) rather than relying on external standard MIBs. It's typically deployed in telecom central-office or cell-site DC power plant monitoring via SNMP. Engineers can download the ELTEK-DISTRIBUTED-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ELTEK-DISTRIBUTED-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Eltek SmartPack/WebPower DC power rectifier system

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll systemControlUnitTable (indexed by systemControlUnitIndex, keyed to inputControlUnitID) to enumerate all distributed control units in a power plant and detect if one has dropped off the poll. systemTimeTime confirms the plant controller's clock is synchronized, important for correlating alarm timestamps across units. The inputUserConfigurable1/2/3 objects expose site-specific analog/digital inputs (e.g., a door sensor or auxiliary alarm) that an admin would map to specific hardware conditions per deployment, and systemSendOffTrap combined with systemTrapRepeatRate governs how aggressively the unit re-sends unacknowledged alarms.

What Can Be Monitored

  • control unit count/identity
  • system time sync
  • trap repeat rate
