systemInitiateEEPROM

Module: ELTEK-DISTRIBUTED-MIB

OID (symbolic): ELTEK-DISTRIBUTED-MIB::systemInitiateEEPROM

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.12148.9.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Pushbutton function that initiates a forced write of default data to the SB70/SB72 eeprom. This function is used for productiontest only. The 3rd party OS used in this application are not able to write default data to EEPROM at boot time. A minimum set of configuration is thus created in RAM. A production test facility must therefore run this command as a part of the production test for the unit to function properly.

What is systemInitiateEEPROM?

A deprecated pushbutton function: writing start(1) forces the SB70/SB72 board to write default configuration data to its EEPROM, used only during production testing because the embedded OS can't write EEPROM defaults at boot time; a production line runs this once per unit so it boots with a proper minimum configuration. Executing it does not return a normal SNMP response, since the unit reboots.
