What is batteryTempCompEnable?
Enables or disables temperature-compensated battery charging, using the SYNTAX values disable(0)/enable(1); note the source MIB's own DESCRIPTION text ('Enable (0) or Disable (1)') actually states the reverse of its SYNTAX labels, an apparent inconsistency in the vendor's MIB -- an admin should verify the actual on/off behavior against the device's own CLI/web interface rather than assuming either text. When active, the system adjusts float voltage based on measured battery temperature (batteryTemp), using batteryFloatVoltConfig as the reference voltage, to avoid overcharging in heat or undercharging in cold.
