Category: Telephony and VoIP, Vendor: Aastra
Description: Manages voice router functions and configuration for Aastra/ConvertedX WAN equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CXVR-MIB?
CXVR-MIB manages the Voice Router (VR) function on Aastra/ConvertedX WAN equipment, covering call registration, node routing configuration, and diagnostics. It exposes a registration table mapping dial numbers to voice station/slot resources and hunt channels, node-level routing configuration (route capacity, supported digit length, buffer pool sizing), and dedicated statistics and ping groups. Monitoring emphasis is on operational/software status: vrStatGroup exposes routing statistics, vrPingGroup supports reachability checks of routed voice endpoints, and vrRegTable entries show whether a given extension is registered and mapped correctly. No major external MIB dependency is apparent from the available data. Deployment context is multi-node Aastra CX WAN voice-routing gateways in enterprise or carrier hybrid voice/data networks. Engineers can download the CXVR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CXVR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Aastra ConvertedX (CX) WAN voice router node
Monitoring Examples
Query vrRegTable (indexed by vrRegSlotNo) for vrRegDialNo, vrRegVceStationId, and vrRegHuntChannel to confirm a given extension is registered and mapped to the correct hunt channel. vrConfigNoOfSysRouteSupported and vrConfigMaxBufferPoolSize describe node capacity, while vrStatGroup and vrPingGroup objects would be polled to detect a voice route becoming unreachable.
What Can Be Monitored
- extension/dial number registration status
- hunt channel assignment
- voice route reachability (ping)
- routing statistics
- buffer pool utilization
