Category: Domain: WAN, Vendor: Memotec

Description: Manages dial-up connection parameters, call setup, and modem configuration on CX Memotec devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CXDial-MIB?

CXDial-MIB is a small private MIB (built on CXProduct-SMI) providing a shared dial-capability configuration table referenced by other dial-capable protocol MIBs on this modular platform. Its table, keyed by index, records physical/function type, row status, inactivity/backup-polling/delay timers, and ISDN BCM (Basic Call Management) settings — user-SAP alias, number of B-channels, directory ID — alongside a MIB-level version object. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm a dial-capable interface's inactivity and backup-polling timers. It is deployed on this vendor's modular voice/data-processing chassis with dial-backup interfaces. Engineers can download the CXDial-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CXDial-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Modular voice/data-processing chassis (CXProduct family)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cxDialInactivityTimer to confirm how long a dial-backup interface waits before considering the primary link down on this platform.

What Can Be Monitored

  • dial-capability configuration and timers
