Category: Vendor: Memotec

Description: Manages low-level console driver parameters and serial console port settings on CX Memotec devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CXConsoleDriver-MIB?

CXConsoleDriver-MIB is a legacy proprietary MIB (built on CXProduct-SMI) configuring the device's serial console-port parameters. Its objects cover baud rate (9600/19200/38400/115200), character size, parity, stop bit, and protocol, all applied dynamically to the running console port. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm or change console-port serial settings on this vendor's chassis equipment. It is deployed on this vendor's modular chassis product line (CXProduct-SMI). Engineers can download the CXConsoleDriver-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CXConsoleDriver-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Modular chassis equipment (CXProduct-SMI vendor line)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cxCdBaudRate to confirm the console port's serial speed matches the connected terminal on this vendor's chassis equipment.

What Can Be Monitored

  • console port serial configuration
