What Is CISCO-TELEPRESENCE-CALL-MIB?
This Cisco MIB defines managed objects for monitoring TelePresence audio-video (and sometimes audio-only add-in) calls on Cisco TelePresence endpoints and systems. It exposes call/session state data, registered local directory numbers, notification-enable flags, and information about which management system currently controls the endpoint. Its monitoring emphasis is on software/service status - call and registration state, active management-system connectivity, and endpoint operating mode - functioning as a service-health indicator for the TelePresence call-control relationship rather than reporting hardware temperature or power supply status. It implicitly depends on a call-management system (such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Cisco TelePresence Management Suite) since endpoints register their directory numbers and mode with an external management system tracked here. Typical deployment is on Cisco TelePresence room systems and endpoints managed through a centralized call/conference management platform. Engineers can download the CISCO-TELEPRESENCE-CALL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
ctpcLocalDirNumTable/ctpcLocalDirNumEntry, indexed by ctpcLocalDirNumIndex, exposes each registered ctpcLocalDirNum on the endpoint, while ctpcMgmtSysTable together with ctpcActiveMgmtSysIndex identifies which management system is currently controlling the endpoint and ctpcMode reports its current operating mode. An admin polling ctpcActiveMgmtSysIndex who sees it flip unexpectedly, or ctpcMgmtSysConnNotifyEnable-triggered notifications firing repeatedly, would suspect a failover or lost registration between primary and backup call-management systems.
