What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-QOSCLASS-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-QOSCLASS-MIB is part of Cisco's UCS/Firepower chassis management information model, covering the QOSCLASS package that defines Quality-of-Service class maps and priorities on fabric interconnect platforms. It exposes QoS class definition objects with descriptive metadata as well as finite-state-machine (FSM) tracking fields recording configuration progress, previous state, and remote-invocation error details for QoS class changes. Its monitoring relevance is mainly software/task-status oriented: administrators can confirm a QoS class configuration change completed successfully by watching FSM progress and error-code objects, catching failed or stuck QoS policy pushes rather than reading live traffic-shaping counters. It shares the DN/RN object model common to the CISCO-FIREPOWER-*-MIB family, linking QoS class definitions to fabric interconnect instances. It is deployed on Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects where QoS class-of-service policies are defined for converged network traffic. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-QOSCLASS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

An administrator would poll cfprQosclassDefinitionTable/cfprQosclassDefinitionEntry, keyed by cfprQosclassDefinitionInstanceId, checking cfprQosclassDefinitionDescr for the class's purpose and cfprQosclassDefinitionFsmProgr to confirm a recent QoS class change has completed. If cfprQosclassDefinitionFsmRmtInvErrCode is non-zero, cfprQosclassDefinitionFsmRmtInvErrDescr and cfprQosclassDefinitionFsmRmtInvRslt describe why the change failed to apply, letting an operator catch a QoS policy push that silently failed on the fabric interconnect. cfprQosclassDefinitionFsmPrev shows the prior FSM state for context.
