Description: Declares SNMP agent capability statements for the CISCO-GGSN-QOS-MIB quality-of-service implementation on Cisco GGSN platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-GGSN-QOS-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-GGSN-QOS-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module, not a data-bearing MIB — it formally declares which parts of the CISCO-GGSN-QOS-MIB a given Cisco IOS/GGSN agent implementation actually supports. It belongs to Cisco's GPRS Gateway Support Node (GGSN) product line used in mobile-operator packet core networks, where the associated CISCO-GGSN-QOS-MIB manages quality-of-service policies for mobile data traffic. As a conformance statement it contains no runtime objects, tables, or counters of its own, so it has no direct role in live hardware or software status monitoring. Its entire purpose is to document implementation compliance/variance relative to the referenced CISCO-GGSN-QOS-MIB, making it inherently dependent on that module. It would only be encountered by NMS tooling or MIB compilers verifying feature support on Cisco GGSN platforms in a mobile operator's packet core, not by day-to-day monitoring dashboards, since the CISCO-GGSN-QOS-CAPABILITY MIB exists purely to declare conformance rather than expose live data.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-GGSN-QOS-CAPABILITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This module contains no runtime data objects — it is a pure AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance statement describing which groups and objects of CISCO-GGSN-QOS-MIB a given agent version supports, so there is no monitoring scenario or object polling to describe here. It would instead be consulted by a MIB compiler or NMS onboarding process to confirm QoS feature support before relying on CISCO-GGSN-QOS-MIB itself for monitoring.
