Description: Provides management objects for query result set management used by Cisco UCS/Firepower SNMP data retrieval operations.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-QUERYRESULT-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-QUERYRESULT-MIB is part of Cisco's UCS/Firepower chassis management information model, covering the QUERYRESULT package that represents the results of internal dependency and usage queries used by the management system's SNMP/XML data-retrieval layer. It exposes dependency-tracking objects describing whether a referenced managed object is importable, which policy owns it, and cross-references to the related distinguished name and name, as well as usage-tracking tables. This is primarily a management-plane/software bookkeeping MIB rather than a hardware-status MIB: its value to an operator is in understanding object dependencies and reference integrity within the management model (e.g. confirming a policy object is still referenced/importable) rather than monitoring physical hardware or performance counters. It is tightly coupled to the object model shared across the entire CISCO-FIREPOWER-*-MIB family, since dependency entries reference DNs defined in other Firepower MIB modules. It is deployed on Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects and Firepower 9300 chassis as part of the management system's internal query/export tooling. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-QUERYRESULT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-QUERYRESULT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnect
  • Cisco Firepower 9300 chassis

Monitoring Examples

An administrator or management tool would poll cfprQueryresultDependencyTable/cfprQueryresultDependencyEntry, keyed by cfprQueryresultDependencyInstanceId, checking cfprQueryresultDependencyIsImportable and cfprQueryresultDependencyClassType to understand whether a referenced object (cfprQueryresultDependencyRefDn/cfprQueryresultDependencyRefName) can be imported into another policy, and cfprQueryresultDependencyPolicyOwner to identify which policy owns the dependency. cfprQueryresultUsageTable would similarly be checked to find where a given configuration object is referenced elsewhere in the system. This module has no runtime hardware counters; it is purely a management-model bookkeeping structure.

What Can Be Monitored

  • object dependency importability
  • dependency class type
  • referenced object DN/name
  • policy ownership of dependencies
