What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-TC-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-TC-MIB is a textual-conventions support module for Cisco's Firepower security appliance MIB suite, defining standardized data types used across other Cisco Firepower MIB modules rather than exposing monitorable data itself. It has no sample objects because it contains only TEXTUAL-CONVENTION type definitions, such as custom enumerations or string formats, that give consistent meaning to values reported elsewhere in the Firepower MIB family. Anyone compiling the Firepower monitoring stack needs the CISCO-FIREPOWER-TC-MIB MIB file present, since the sibling operational modules import its type definitions directly. It therefore has no direct role in reporting uptime, CPU/memory, or fault status; that data appears in the companion Firepower MIB modules that import these types. It depends on standard SNMPv2-SMI/SNMPv2-TC conventions and is meant strictly to be imported by other Cisco Firepower MIB modules. It's deployed alongside Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) appliances and Firepower Management Center in enterprise security infrastructure.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

As a pure textual-conventions module it defines no runtime objects or tables of its own (sample_objects is empty), so there is no realistic monitoring scenario to describe here; actual Firepower health and status polling happens through the sibling Cisco Firepower MIB modules that reference the types defined here.
