Description: Provides management objects for the Cisco UCS fabric interconnect DCX backplane switching infrastructure on Firepower platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-DCX-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-DCX-MIB is a Cisco Systems proprietary MIB representing the DCX (data-center/FCoE cross-connect) management-information package within Cisco Firepower Chassis Manager. Its objects cover an FCoE VIF (Virtual Interface) endpoint table, an NS (Namespace) table (allocation status, side, size, switch ID, used amount), a universe table, and a virtual-interface (VIf) table — each identified by instance ID and distinguished/relative name. As a configuration/status MIB it lets a Firepower administrator confirm FCoE virtual-interface allocation and namespace usage on a converged data-center chassis. It is deployed on Cisco Firepower chassis platforms with FCoE connectivity. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-DCX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-DCX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Firepower chassis platforms (FCoE)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cfprDcxNsUsed against cfprDcxNsSize to confirm namespace allocation headroom on a Firepower chassis's FCoE fabric.

What Can Be Monitored

  • FCoE virtual-interface and namespace allocation
