What is icmpInTimestampReps?

Counts ICMP Timestamp Reply messages received, replies to ICMP timestamp requests the device sent asking a peer for its clock value. ICMP timestamp exchange is rarely used deliberately today, so nonzero traffic here on a Check Point gateway is more likely a leftover legacy clock-sync probe or a scanning tool testing for it than an intentional monitoring mechanism. Example: an unexpected trickle of icmpInTimestampReps arriving from unfamiliar external hosts suggests someone scanned the gateway with ICMP timestamp requests and it answered, itself a minor information-disclosure worth tightening.
