Category: Vendor: Alvarion, Wireless and WLAN

Description: Collects per-subscriber unit traffic and link performance statistics on Alvarion BreezeACCESS base stations.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BSUSUSTATS-MIB?

BSUSUSTATS-MIB is an Aperto Networks proprietary MIB (built on ANIROOT-MIB/BSUSUINV-MIB) reporting per-Subscriber-Unit (SU) service-flow and signal-quality statistics as seen from a Base Station Unit (BSU) in a fixed-wireless broadband deployment. Its service-statistics table, keyed by flow ID, records downstream/upstream Ethernet packet counts (including dropped) and byte counts, and downstream wireless packet/retransmission counts, while a signal-quality table reports collided-burst count, corrected/uncorrected/no-FEC-error counts, no-unique-word-detected count, and no-energy-detected count. As a performance MIB it lets a wireless ISP watch a specific subscriber's signal quality and retransmission rate to diagnose a degraded fixed-wireless link. It is deployed on Aperto Networks fixed-wireless broadband BSU/SU equipment. Engineers can download the BSUSUSTATS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BSUSUSTATS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Aperto Networks fixed-wireless broadband BSU/SU equipment

Monitoring Examples

A wireless ISP checks aniBsuSuSigQUnCorrFecErrorCount for a specific subscriber unit to diagnose a degraded fixed-wireless link before it starts dropping calls or causing throughput complaints.

What Can Be Monitored
