Description: Reports operational status and alarm conditions for Alvarion BreezeACCESS base station unit (BSU) devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is BSUSTATUS-MIB?
BSUSTATUS-MIB is an Alvarion vendor MIB reporting operational status and alarm conditions for the Base Station Unit (BSU) in BreezeACCESS fixed wireless broadband access systems. It exposes system boot state, system uptime, configured versus present port counts, subscriber unit (SU) counts, cell configuration (name, radius, sync timing reference), routing flag state, and a per-radio status table for each radio connected to the BSU. Its monitoring value is squarely hardware/software status: aniBsuStatusBootState and aniBsuStatusSysUpTime reveal reboot or crash events, mismatches between configured and present ports indicate hardware faults, and the radio table shows the health of each individual radio interface serving subscriber units. It is a self-contained wireless-access vendor MIB, generally used alongside standard IF-MIB for the underlying radio interfaces. Deployment context is fixed wireless broadband access networks where a BSU serves many subscriber stations over point-to-multipoint radio links, monitored by the wireless ISP's NOC. Engineers can download the BSUSTATUS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BSUSTATUS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Alvarion BreezeACCESS Base Station Unit (fixed wireless access)
Monitoring Examples
An operator would poll aniBsuStatusSysUpTime to detect an unexpected reboot and cross-check aniBsuStatusBootState for the cause, while comparing aniBsuStatusNumPortsConf against aniBsuStatusNumPortsPresent to catch a failed port card. Polling aniBsuStatusRadioTable/aniBsuStatusRadioEntry per radio reveals which specific radio has lost sync or dropped its subscriber count. A drop in aniBsuStatusSuCounts without a corresponding radio fault would suggest a coverage or interference issue rather than hardware failure.
What Can Be Monitored
- system boot state and uptime
- configured vs present port count
- subscriber unit counts
- per-radio operational status
- cell sync timing reference
- cell name/radius configuration
