Description: Reports subscriber unit (SU) inventory and hardware details registered to Alvarion BreezeACCESS base stations.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BSUSUINV-MIB?

BSUSUINV-MIB is an Alvarion enterprise MIB for BreezeACCESS fixed-wireless base station units (BSUs), providing an inventory view of all Subscriber Units (SUs) currently registered/connected to a given base station. It exposes per-SU inventory data including MAC address, IP address, device name, customer name, link status, and hardware model number, effectively giving a roster of connected wireless subscriber endpoints. Its monitoring role is primarily connectivity/hardware status of remote subscriber equipment: aniBsuSuLinkStatus indicates whether each subscriber radio's wireless link is currently up or down, while aniBsuSuModelNumber helps identify hardware variants deployed across a subscriber base for firmware compatibility planning. It is specific to Alvarion's BreezeACCESS fixed-wireless access architecture and depends on that platform's base-station-to-subscriber-unit registration model rather than generic IETF MIBs. It is deployed by fixed-wireless broadband operators managing point-to-multipoint BreezeACCESS base stations serving many subscriber premises, making BSUSUINV-MIB SNMP monitoring a standard part of tracking subscriber unit connectivity across a BreezeACCESS deployment.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BSUSUINV-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Aperto Networks (Ceragon) PacketWave/WiMAX base station units (BSU)

Monitoring Examples

An operator would walk aniBsuSuInvTable/aniBsuSuInvEntry to enumerate every subscriber unit currently registered to a base station, checking aniBsuSuLinkStatus per entry to find any subscriber whose wireless link has dropped. aniBsuSuMacAddr and aniBsuSuIpAddr let the operator correlate a specific subscriber unit with its assigned customer via aniBsuSuCustomerName. A subscriber unit disappearing from the table entirely (rather than showing a down link status) would indicate the SU has lost radio contact with the BSU altogether.

What Can Be Monitored

  • connected subscriber unit inventory
  • subscriber link status
  • subscriber MAC/IP address
  • subscriber unit model number
