Category: Vendor: ADTRAN

Description: Provides per-UNI MEF performance history intervals on ADTRAN devices for carrier Ethernet user network interface monitoring.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ADTRAN-MEF-PER-UNI-PERF-HISTORY-MIB?

ADTRAN-MEF-PER-UNI-PERF-HISTORY-MIB is an ADTRAN proprietary MIB (AOS product line) defining high-capacity, MEF-aligned performance-history statistics per User-Network Interface (UNI) on a carrier Ethernet access device. It exposes 15-minute current and historical interval tables reporting elapsed time, valid/invalid interval counts, and ingress/egress octet and frame counts broken out by MEF color (green-marked, in-contract traffic). As a performance-monitoring MIB it lets a service provider verify a UNI's actual delivered throughput and frame-discard behavior against its MEF service-level agreement. It is deployed on ADTRAN AOS-based carrier Ethernet access devices at a customer's UNI demarcation point. Engineers can download the ADTRAN-MEF-PER-UNI-PERF-HISTORY-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ADTRAN-MEF-PER-UNI-PERF-HISTORY-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ADTRAN AOS-based carrier Ethernet access devices

Monitoring Examples

A service provider compares adMefPerUniPhCurIngressGreenFrames15Min against adMefPerUniPhCurIngressGreenFrameDiscards15Min for a UNI to verify the customer's in-contract traffic is being delivered without discards, supporting an SLA review.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-UNI 15-minute ingress/egress green-frame counts and discards
