Description: Monitors CPU utilization and process load statistics on ADTRAN AOS platform devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ADTRAN-AOSCPU?

ADTRAN-AOSCPU is an ADTRAN, Inc. proprietary MIB (AOS platform, built on ADTRAN-AOS/ADTRAN-MIB) reporting CPU, memory, and process status. Its objects cover current/1-minute/5-minute/max CPU utilization, a clear-utilization-stats action, memory pool/heap size/heap free, a process table (ID, name, priority, state, count, exec time, run time, 1-second load), and a resource-utilization-threshold table (resource type, threshold, time interval, row status, timestamp). As a performance MIB it lets an administrator watch CPU/memory pressure and configure resource-threshold alerts on an ADTRAN AOS device. It is deployed on ADTRAN, Inc. AOS platform equipment (CPU/memory/process). Engineers can download the ADTRAN-AOSCPU file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ADTRAN-AOSCPU. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ADTRAN, Inc. AOS platform equipment (CPU/memory/process)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks adGenAOS5MinCpuUtil and adGenAOSHeapFree to watch CPU and memory pressure on an ADTRAN AOS device.
