Description: C-Data FD-series system-level MIB for device identity, firmware version, and system configuration on FD-platform OLTs.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is FD-SYSTEM-MIB?

FD-SYSTEM-MIB is a C-Data Technology proprietary MIB providing system-level management for its FD-series platform, which includes GPON/EPON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) equipment used in fiber access networks. It exposes basic device-identity and system-configuration data such as device model/type, firmware/software version, and general system settings. Its main monitoring value is confirming the software/firmware identity and baseline configuration state of the OLT chassis, useful for inventory tracking and verifying a device is running the expected firmware version. FD-SYSTEM-MIB SNMP monitoring therefore centers on identity and configuration verification rather than live traffic or hardware sensor data. It is a foundational, vendor-specific module that typically coexists with, and is indexed alongside, the standard SNMPv2 System group (sysDescr, sysUpTime) and other C-Data FD-series MIBs covering interfaces or PON-specific data. It is deployed on C-Data FD-series OLT and related access-network hardware used by ISPs and fiber network operators.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in FD-SYSTEM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • C-Data FD1616S-B2 — current 1U 16-port GPON OLT (ITU G.984/FSAN compliant, up to 1:128 split), part of C-Data's actively sold FD-series OLT lineup

Monitoring Examples

No specific object or table names were captured for this MIB, so exact polling targets cannot be confirmed, but consistent with being a system mib module an admin would expect to poll system identity/version objects to confirm the OLT's model, hardware revision, and running firmware version, and to detect an unexpected firmware version after a maintenance window or a device that has silently reset.

What Can Be Monitored

  • device model/hardware identity
  • firmware/software version
  • system configuration state
